Greetings

Hmm well I guess I should introduce myself.

My name is Ms Buzz and I need to get fit, healthy & learn to love myself.

I am twenty-something girl who is a size 16/18 (I think that is size 12/14 in US?), currently weigh 98kg (216 pounds) and honestly, I really don't like what I see when I look in the mirror.

I have tried shakes, Weight Watchers (with some success), Atkins, starving, throwing up and just trying to eat normally. I have joined gyms, sessions with Personal Trainers, walking, Wii and nothing. When I was living interstate I had no car and had to walk everywhere and was doing WW at the time and had success with that but when I moved home and met my BF I put all the weight back on... and then some.

Yesterday whilst getting ready for work I had a little breakdown. I couldn't find anything to wear that I didn't feel like a hippo in and just felt hideous (being sick with the flu doesn't help) and I need to do something about it.. physically, mentally and emotionally.

So my plan of attack...
I have joined a new gym with BF - having someone to drag me, I mean motivate me to go is going to help. I am also going to start to doing PT sessions soon. Once I am better (I am sick and taking antibiotics) I plan on starting off 3 times a week. I have gone too hard and fast before when starting off and usually it just burns you out.

Weight Watchers - going to start counting points again and possibly go to meetings. Cash is a little tight at the moment so I might have to have my own weight watcher sessions at home.


Psychologist - I have been to one before a few times and she is great and I need to go back to talk to her and learn how to like myself.

Tracking - writing down everything I eat & drink. Good & Bad.

I am hoping that having a blog and being 110% honest will help me be more accountable for what I do and if I can motivate someone else to make their own lives happier then even better.

Well thats a brief introduction and if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. And I love Toy Story hence my picture of buzz light year (even though I love Woody more, buzz goes with my whole fitness and beyond theme).

  1. Ooh, I'm your first follower - nifty. I like your plan of attack to get fit and healthy and lose weight. A huge congrats on that first step! Are you in Australia? (I saw you working in kilos AND there was the sizing comment too..) If so, nice to have another Aussie on board.
